Liberating

Let go of practices that aren't delivering value

One of the key things about agile transformation is that we have to be able to let go of the things we were doing in the past if they didn't deliver value.

Liberating yourself frees up time, energy and resources to explore new things

If we don't let go of things in the past then it's going to prevent us from what we want to do in the future. Here’s an example to illustrate the point; when you start swimming it isn’t enough to learn how to swim. You also have let go of the side of the pool.

Be deliberate in what you liberate

Letting go of existing processes, commitments and work practices shouldn't be a free for all; we're not going to stop doing every work practice we have. Be selective in what you liberate and then measure the results of letting go.
