We can decide relative priority

Prioritization is our ability to rank what things are valuable and which things are less valuable. We can form a single ordered list of items that we think are important and the list is structured around the relative value of items on our list.

We understand what value looks like to us

Being able to prioritize implies that we’re able to establish the value of the things we’re considering; somehow they have value to us. We’re able to recognize value in each item we prioritize and translate the value of each item into a relative value comparison.

We can measure value

If we want to prioritize using value then we have to measure value. Now this is something that eludes a lot of people because they feel the things can't be measured. In fact, almost anything can be measured. We can ascribe some kind of value scale to measure something.
